AGM NVG50 Echo Tactical Night Vision Binocular White Phosphor

The AGM NVG50 ECHO White Phosphor is a compact night vision binocular/goggle which features a Photonis ECHO Autogated imaging intensifier tube and a 51 degree field of view. It doesn't get any better than this.

The compact night vision goggles are designed to MIL-spec specifications, making it an indispensable night vision goggle for tactical applications, professional users, airsofters and any other discerning enthusiast. The device is less than 12 cm long, weighs only 615 grams and can easily be attached to helmets and headsets.

Quality of the image intensifier tube

The night viewer features two Gen2+ PHOTONIS ECHO Autogated image intensifier tubes in White Phosphor (P45). These generally have a FOM (Figure of Merit) of 1800-2300 and a resolution of 57-74 lp/mm. The night viewer has clean tubes, so there are no 'spots' visible in the image. So you can see the environment razor sharp, in white/blue-ish color.

Characteristics of the optics

The night viewer has an optical 1x magnification, a 19mm objective and focuses from 25 cm. With an extremely large field of view of 51 degrees you can see a lot of the environment at a glance and keep moving targets in view easily. Both objectives are fully multi-coated to protect against scratches and dirt. A 3x magnifying lens is optionally available.

External features

The NVG50 has a built-in infrared illuminator to allow you to see even when no light is present. This can be useful, for example, when you are in a dark room with four concrete walls, and no windows. You can set the IR in terms of power in two levels. On the top of the body is an NVG interface, which allows you to connect the night viewer to a helmet or goggle kit for hands-free use. Power is provided by the included CR123 battery (see optional accessories for additional batteries). With just one battery, you can use the scope for up to 20 hours. You can also set the pupil distance and the diopter to correct for your eye.

Advantages of a binocular

Because a night vision binocular has two image intensifier tubes, it captures twice as much light as a monocular or bi-ocular. This results in a much higher light output. This not only gives you a very bright image, but you can also use it in situations where there is hardly any ambient light present. A binocular also has the advantage that it is comfortable for long-term, continuous use. You do not have to close one eye at a time, as is the case with a monocular.

Application AGM NVG50 Photonis ECHO White Phosphor (NW1i)

The AGM NVG50 is all you need when you are looking for the best that night vision has to offer. This makes it suitable for professionals, tactical applications and airsoft. But also for use during hunting, at sea or for any other demanding user, this is an excellent choice.

This night vision optics is equipped with an image intensifier tube, so you cannot use the device during the day. The device will automatically shut down when too much light is present.
