Boya BY-BM3051S Mono/Stereo Switchable Shotgun Microphone
The Boya Condenser Shotgun Aiming Microphone BY-BM3051S is a supercardioid stereo condenser microphone, which is ideally suited for general sound recording, both indoors and outdoors. Sound in the direction of the microphone is recorded clearly. The BY-BM3051S is compatible with DSLR cameras, camcorders, audio recorders and more. For high reliability, this directional microphone is made of ABS material and equipped with a built-in shock absorber. This eliminates unnecessary vibrations, and therefore background noise.
During sound recording, you have a choice of three sound levels: +20dB, 0dB and -10dB. +20dB provides amplification of softer sounds; -10dB, on the other hand, ensures that loud sounds are less likely to cause overamplification. In addition, this directional microphone has a high-pass filter, which filters out lower frequency sounds. Think of moving vehicles or air conditioning. In addition to the windshield, a deadcat plummet cap is also included, which minimizes background noises such as wind noise. This makes this directional microphone usable in various situations.
BY-BM3031 application
When you want to clearly record sound from several meters away indoors or outdoors, the BY-BM3051S is ideal. Because the sound recording is in stereo, you add an extra dimension to your recordings. For example, listeners can hear a car driving through their living room from left to right. To use the microphone you insert two AA batteries (not included). This allows you to use the microphone for up to 30 hours. You then attach the directional microphone to your camera via the 1/4" threaded connection or the hotshoe. The built-in 3.5mm output cable (TRS) connects your camera to the microphone. By using the buttons on the back, you can enable the low-cut filter and switch between a mono and stereo signal. It is also possible to turn the microphone on and off or set it to turn on automatically when you use it. You can also listen to sounds in real time; you do this simply by connecting your headphones to the built-in 3.5 mm headphone jack.
